27th February 2018

A smattering of snow greated todays walk around Soho, we crossed into Mayfair to see two very different galleries.

Firstly the brand new Laz Inc. Famous street artist's new Mayfair joint, looks amazing, although there seems to be a touch of apology of the location in some of the press.

Then PACE London on Burlington Gardens exhibits Tara Donovan: Compositions.

Known for her commitment to process, Donovan has earned acclaim for her ability to discover the inherent physical characteristics of an object and transform it into art.

Feb 13 2018

In a week that hosts Valentines Day and Shrove Tuesday you would be forgiven thinking that there was no time for anything else! But no... we also launch our first Art Tuesdays of the year! The icy rain was not enough to put off our intrepid team and we managed two great galleries.

John Martin Gallery William Peers- A Line In Space.
Smooth unbroken forms loop through space and hang in the air as if suspended by magic. Our attention is caught not only by the marble contours, but by the spaces that surround them.
David Zwirner Bridget Riley- Recent Paintings 2014-2017
Riley’s formally taut, abstract compositions yield a singular sense of visual pleasure for the viewer, a notion derived as much from the artist’s formative encounters with Old Master and Impressionist painting as from her early experiences with nature.

Opera Gallery

No press available but this was one of the nicest galleries I have been to on Art Tuesdays.

Sophia Contemporary Gallery 06/09/17

True to name Sophia Contemporary Gallery features an up to date work from US based artist Ramin Shirdel.
"The exhibition focuses on the subjectivity and universality of human emotion. Each Sculpture explores the various stages of a developing feeling and the ambiguity of conflicting states of minds"
